Back in late October, we were told unequivocally that New Zealand websites with a .com domain name should be hosted in New Zealand space rather than the US or elsewhere or they would not be found in www.google.co.nz when ticking "pages from New Zealand"

One of the regular search marketing resources we follow is from Web Marketing Today. Peter has been receiving regular tips, news and ideas from them since their inception in around 1996. In the main they offer good easy to understand stories about search engine marketing, that he has found quite useful over the years.

A report yesterday from the Interactive Advertising Bureau in New Zealand talks about online advertising increasing significantly in New Zealand. They say that their latest survey indicates that interactive/online advertising is likely to exceed $120 million year ending 2007.

An interesting article came across our screen recently. According to an IAB New Zealand and Pricewaterhouse Coopers study (we could not find anything on their sites about such a study), New Zealand marketers are putting most of their advertising dollars into classified and display advertising.
