Should your business use Social Media?

Many businesses are starting to use social media, and in particular Facebook, as another tool to build relationships and reach a wider circle of potential customers. It is also worth considering that a Social Networking presence now contributes to your search engine ranking – Bing and Google have both confirmed Facebook and Twitter are taken into account.

For some of us, social networking is fun and we find it easy keep an up to date presence but for others it is a mystery that they have neither the time nor the inclination to take further.

It is important that each business assess whether or not they need a social media presence – not all businesses will benefit from this. However, Facebook business pages are a great way to promote special deals or for your clients to place feedback (or even photos) of your business. Facebook Welcome and Special Promotion/Competition pages can give your Facebook presence extra personality and information.
