What are others saying about you on the net? Google Alerts can help you monitor.
Posted February 24th, 2008 by peterHow do you keep track about what others are saying about you? Do you visit one of the major search engines and search regularly for your own name or business name? It could be a good idea to monitor this, so if someone blogs or adds a link to you, you know about it. You can always go back to them and thank them appropriately.
If it is all positive, thats great, but maybe they have added something bad about you or your business. See our posting about the Melbourne Real Estate agent. If they do, then maybe you can do something about it.
So how can you manage this without spending a lot of time monitoring? Google Alerts could be a simple solution for you. Simply go to http://www.google.com/alerts and log into your gmail account. If you dont have one, set one up.
Its all pretty simple really and can save you a lot of time searching for both the positive and negative postings about you, your business, your competitors, and pretty much anything else you are interested in.
Remember the old saying "if you don’t measure – you can’t fix"
