Final Pricing for wholesale broadband connections
Posted December 14th, 2007 by peterYesterday the Commerce Commission released its final pricing on unbundled bitstream (naked DSL). This allows customers to use their phone line for broadband and use VoIP for phone calls – no need for a phone line.
Telecom must sell basic wholesale naked DSL to their competitors for $47.28 for urban customers and $64.07 for rural.
For customers getting naked DSL, without the traditional phone, there is also the cost of Telecom’s local loop network.
Broadband connections with a phone will be cheaper at $27.44.
The basic service will be available in mid-2008, with faster services to follow.
