Search engine market share – September 2007

Ever wondered what the latest search engine market share is amongst the majors? We all know google.com of course is the No. one player by far, but what about the others – How do they compare?

According to Comscore, who recently released their findings for the US in September, Google has 57%, Yahoo 23.7%, Microsoft 10.3%, Ask 4.7% and Time Warner network 4.3%.

The figures are based on the five major search engines including partner searches and cross-channel searches. Searches for mapping, local directory, and user-generated video sites that are not on the core domain of the five search engines are not included in the core search numbers. Full report here……..
